When you have an accident, stay calm and stop the car.
Report the incident to the police immediately.
Record the information of all parties involved, such as Vehicle Registration No., Contact No., Insurer and Policy No.
Do not move any involved vehicles until the police has arrived, unless you have recorded the details of the situation or you have to help rescue any injured persons.
Do not discuss or negotiate about who was to blame. Do not promise any payment to any other party.
Inform the insurer as soon as possible, but in any event within 7 days.
Complete a Claim Form and return the ORIGINAL together with the following documents:

a) a copy of driver's I.D. card;
b) a copy of driver’s Driving Licence;
c) a copy of both sides of the Vehicle Registration Documents;
d) a copy of Screening Breath Test Result Form; and
e) any other relevant documents required by the insurer.
If you have a comprehensive policy and are claiming for damages to your vehicle, you should submit the estimated repairing costs to the insurer before you start any repair work.
If you find the other party at fault, please file a complaint with the police within 10 days
Discuss or negotiate with the other party who was to blame.
Admit or promise any payment to any other party.
Instruct your garage to proceed with the repair work of insured vehicle without prior consent from the insurer.
Answer any summons or correspondence in relation to the accident.
